Geometric flows from unified string theories

Abstract: The search for supersymmetric vacua in string theories leads to several new geometric flows, which are interesting from both the geometric and PDE points of view. We discuss some of these equations, notably from the Type IIB and the Type IIA string theories, with emphasis on the many open problems.
